Dr. Paige Brock
Paige Brock completed her DVM at the University of Tennessee after which she entered small animal private practice. She went on to complete an internship in Zoological Medicine at UT followed by the Zoological Medicine residency at the University of Florida. Paige is currently the Clinical Instructor Veterinarian at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Dr. Shannon Cerveny
Shannon Cerveny graduated from veterinary school in 2007 from St. George's University and completed her clinical year at North Carolina State University. She completed an internship in Zoological Medicine at Louisiana State University and a residency in Zoological Medicine at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Shannon is currently associate veterinarian at the San Antonio Zoo.
Dr. Conor Kilgallon
Dr. Conor Kilgallon gained his veterinary degree from the National University of Ireland, Dublin. After several years in mixed practice in Ireland and the United Kingdom, he completed a Masters in Wild Animal Health at the Royal Veterinary College/ Zoological Society of London in 2005. He completed the UC Davis/ Zoological Society of San Diego residency in zoological medicine in 2010. Conor is presently based in the United Arab Emirates where he oversees the veterinary care of falcons and several private zoological collections.
Dr. Sylvain Larrat
Dr. Sylvain Larrat obtained his degree in veterinary medicine at the École Nationale Vétérinaire de Nantes (France) in 2008. He did an internship with a veterinarian working with exotic, zoo and wild animals (Emmanuel Risi). He completed a residency in wildlife health management at the Université de Montréal under Stéphane Lair's mentorship (Québec, Canada) in 2012. He then stayed at the Université de Montréal as a master's degree candidate, a part-time research assistant for the Canadian Cooperative Wildlife Health Center, and a part-time clinician for the Aquarium du Québec, the birds of prey clinic and the exotic animal clinic.
Dr. Olivia Petritz
Olivia Petritz received her veterinary degree in 2008 from Purdue University, School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship followed by a one-year avian and exotics internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, TX. Olivia just completed a three-year residency program in companion exotics and zoo medicine at the University of California-Davis.
Dr. Kristen Phair
Kristen Phair obtained her DVM from the Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a rotating small animal internship at Oradell Animal Hospital in New Jersey, followed by the Zoo and Exotics internship at Kansas State University. She recently completed the University of California, Davis, Zoological Medicine Residency. Kristen is currently an associate veterinarian at the Phoenix Zoo.
Dr. Marie Rush
Marie Rush is a DVM graduate of Auburn University. She completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York, followed with a residency at the Wildlife Conservation Society. Marie has worked in private practice, wildlife consultation, the Birmingham Zoo and Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine/Southeastern Raptor Center. She continues to work with Auburn University’s Environmental Institute Eastern Indigo snake repatriation project, and is the veterinary advisor for the Chinese Alligator SSP. Since 2009, Marie has been with St. George’s University College of Veterinary Medicine, as Associate Professor in Pathobiology and Coordinator of Wildlife/Zoological Medicine and Research. She serves as the vice-chair for the university IACUC and the chair of the Professionalism committee for the SVM. She enjoys wildlife field research, epidemiology/public health, opportunities to mentor/teach, continued learning and inspiring a passion for the natural world through conservation medicine, research and education.
Dr. Trevor Zachariah
Trevor Zachariah was born and raised in Michigan. He was valedictorian of his Coldwater High School class, after which he earned Bachelor of Science with Honor in Zoology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Michigan State University. Trevor completed an internship in exotic pet and wildlife medicine, as well as a Master of Science degree at Louisiana State University. He was selected for the Chicago Zoological and Aquatic Animal Residency Program, during which he rotated between Brookfield Zoo, Lincoln Park Zoo, and Shedd Aquarium. Trevor is currently the Director of Veterinary Programs at Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, Florida. His interests include invertebrates and reptiles, among many others.
